Marketplace help for Harris County
Affordable Health Insurance in Houston, Texas
Houston runs on people who build, ship, refine and heal. Plenty of them work for contractors or small crews that never offer a group plan. Estagacy Insurance Group is licensed in Texas and helps Houston residents compare Marketplace plans on HealthCare.gov at no cost to you.
We serve you by phone and video from our licensed office in Orlando, Florida, so you never need to travel. You may qualify for financial help based on your income, and a short eligibility check shows you where to start.
How we help Houston residents
Honest remote service
We are not down the street from you, and we will not pretend to be. Our agents work from Orlando and meet Houston clients over the phone or on a video call. You can share your screen, and we walk through the HealthCare.gov application together, one question at a time.
Income that swings with the job
Refinery turnarounds, port shifts and construction jobs rarely pay the same amount every month. We help you build a realistic yearly income estimate from pay stubs, 1099s or invoices, so the financial help you receive fits what you actually earn.
Networks across a sprawling metro
A plan that looks great on paper is not much use if the nearest in-network clinic is an hour away in traffic. We check the doctors, hospitals and urgent care centers close to where you live and work before we talk price.
Help after enrollment, too
When the Marketplace asks for documents, a bill looks wrong, or you pick up a new job mid-year, call the same team. We explain what to report and when, so you are not surprised at tax time.
Who we help
Energy and port workers
Plant operators, dockworkers and logistics crews between contracts can keep coverage steady even when the paycheck is not.
Construction trades and contractors
Electricians, roofers, welders and general contractors paid on a 1099 may qualify for financial help based on your income.
Healthcare workers without benefits
PRN nurses, home health aides and techs working per-diem shifts across the Medical Center area often need their own plan.
Families and newcomers
Parents covering kids, and people who just moved to Houston, can often enroll under a Special Enrollment Period.
Key 2027 dates
Texas uses the federal Marketplace at HealthCare.gov, so Houston residents follow the same calendar as the rest of the state:
- Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1 to December 15, 2026.
- Enroll by December 15, 2026 for coverage starting January 1, 2027.
- Outside Open Enrollment you need a Special Enrollment Period (moving, losing coverage, marriage, a baby).
- Medicaid and CHIP can be applied for any time.
Hurricane season, a lost contract or a new baby can each change your options. If something happened in the last 60 days, call us and we will check whether a Special Enrollment Period applies.
